Talking in South Carolina

Author Mike Buchanan spoke to Mabry Middle School in Inman SC on Friday. The students were very excited about the visit and talk held in the gym. Many students came to the library after the assembly. We look forward to going back to the school when they have finished reading the book. Mike spoke to an English class about the characters and storyline.

The authors and screenwriters of The Fat Boy Chronicles spoke to a book club that had read the book. The group is in Chesterfield VA; the evening was attended by over a dozen Moms who loved the book. The authors had a great time talking about the book, so much so that the meeting didnt break up until almost 11PM.

Event on Monday in Cherokee County

Kelly Washington(Sable) and Mike Buchanan (Co-Author) will be speaking to students Monday Jan 11 about the issues in the book and moviemaking. We will post some pictures next week.

Authors in Your Town

Look for the authors of the book in Richmond, VA, the weekend of January 16. Also, Chris Rivera, star of the movie, will be in New Jersey January 8 at BN.

Hopefully, some of us are dedicating this year to be more aware of how much we eat. Let’s lose some weight!!

New Year Resolution

In light of our nation being severly overweight and with the money spent on healthcare as a result, how about we try to lose weight? It’s good for us and for the country.
