Visiting White County 9th Grade Academy
In Cleveland GA, near Helen, is a wonderful place of learning where the students were so polite, the 9th grade academy of White County. Mike spoke there about The Fat Boy Chronicles book and upcoming movie. The principal was super supportive and we thank him for the invite. Mike will revisit the school when students have read the book.

Mike visits Our Lady of Victory School in Tyrone GA
Last month, Mike spoke about the book and movie 
to Our Lady of Victory, a Catholic school just south of ATL. The students, staff and parents were so wonderful. The kids were excited about the book and bought quite a few. Mike signed books for over 30 minutes and he will revisit the school when students have finished reading the book.

Mike Buchanan will be speaking to the Health classed about the novel and movie at John’s Creek High on Friday, Dec 4. On Dec 10, Diane, Mike, Doug, Kelly and Dr. Thomas Inge will be at Mason High.

Big Event in Cincinnati
Diane Lang and Mike Buchanan (authors and screenwriters), Doug Hennig(book inspired by Doug), Dr Thomas Inge (wrote foreword to book, a leading expert on obesity), and Kelly Washington (plays Sable in the movie) will be at Mason High on Dec 10. The group will talk to students, faculty and parents at the school. It will be a great day!!

Events for this month
Mike will be visiting schools in the Atlanta area: Our Lady of Victory in Tyrone on Nov 17, Roswell High on Nov 18, White County Middle School on Nov 19. Also, book clubs around the South are reading the book to better understand their kid’s world.
